Immersion coating is a step further than coil protection. Immersion coating has been tested alongside alternative technology and has been found to have fantastic results on all surface types ( only available UK mainland).
The immersion coating technology utilises the surface tension of a liquid with a certain viscosity to create a precise and consistent coating layer. The process allows the thickness of the coating to be controlled. For example, the viscosity of a fluid is a measure of its resistance to deformation at a given rate.
For liquids, it corresponds to the informal concept of “thickness”. For example, honey has a higher viscosity than water. It is important to take into consideration the temperature and humidity, so coating thickness is less important in a coil with, say, 6 FPI but extremely important in a coil with 12 FPI. In any application, the thickness should not reduce the coil efficiency by more than 1%.

Restricted fin spacing and poor geometry can cause the pressure to drop. As a result, this can reduce or eliminate the ability to deeply coat a large coil. Smaller coils may also experience problems due to having a complex fin profile.
